Our founding owner, Elyse Mallins, has many years of experience advising employers and employees on their most challenging workplace problems.
Elyse began her career at a large Bay Street firm representing some of Canada’s most important businesses. From there she moved in-house where she advised Canada’s largest private-sector employer on it’s day-to-day business and labour and employment matters. Since then, Elyse has become a business-owner and employer herself.
Elyse’s career trajectory has given her the opportunity to sit on both sides of the table in a workplace dispute: she has been both the client and the counsel. This has allowed her to gain valuable insights from both perspectives. This multi-faceted experience has provided Elyse with a well-rounded and unique view on workplace matters and an understanding of how critical talent and retention can be to accomplish business goals. Elyse she has passed on and fostered this knowledge within her talented team. We use this learned experience to provide outstanding and skillful legal representation to our employer and employee clients.
Building Long-Term Relationships with Clients
Our ultimate goal is to build and foster strong, long-term relationships with our clients and to become their trusted resource for all matters related to the workplace.
Our lawyers are available to respond to stand-alone issues as they arise, or where we are needed to review documentation or provide guidance on a discrete question that may come up. We are also available on an ongoing basis and can act as your de facto in-house counsel to provide regular advice and guidance.
